I'm trying something new with my livejournal account and I'm calling it One Day One Run. I'm currently an overweight college grad trying to make some big changes in my life. According to my BMI at 5'7" and 202 lbs I'm obese, and I don't disagree... So I've decided to sign up for a 10K (~6.2 mile) run and this will be the log of the training I'm about to start.

Weight: 202.2 lbs
Goal Run: 10K on October 12, 2009
Today's distance attempted: 2.98 miles
Result: I did well for the first mile and a half... Then I hit the big hill. I ended up running about 2 miles of today's run and walking the rest. I was dead beat after the hill and couldn't get going again once I started walking.

I was all excited about running a 5k this morning. I've been trying to get back on track with my eating and running and exercise and all that stuff...

Unfortunately I was on second shift all week this week and have been sleeping in until 9 or 10 and staying up later. I totally overslept my alarm this morning and missed my race! It totally sucked. I was ready to go. So I ended up just sitting around all day watching movies. Not a good substitute for running.

**Sigh**

This is hilarious. My mom found it and sent it to me...

My friend introduced me to 'Stumble'. It's a google application that you download and enter in your interests. Once you've done that you stumble by clicking the link and it brings you to a totally random website that pertains to some of your interests. I thought I'd share a few I found.

This one is for writers block and greatly amused me. It's a help line for writers block.

Hey all,

I'm looking to re-read a story. I could have sworn it was called 'five years' or something like that but I can't find it. The general plot is that House went to jail and when he gets out Cameron kind of takes him in. She's married now and has a son and I'm pretty sure either the son or the husband is named Daniel... I think. This is pretty much the only House/Cameron story that i REALLY like so I'd like to find it again. I can't even remember if I read it on Livejournal or FF.net. So if anyone knows the story I'm talking about please let me know!!!
